Rated: 18A
Genre: Comedy/Sport
Storyline: After getting in a fight with a hockey player a bouncer gets a shot at becoming the new thug for the local team.
My Take: So much fun. Goon is my new favourite hockey movie and ranks in my top few all time favourite sports films. It really surprised me how much heart this comedy had. I laughed I felt things and occasionally cringed as fists collided with faces. Goon delivers exactly what it promises.
Why you may like/dislike it: Violence and crude humour, some will laugh and others will be offended.
Of note: Written by Evan Goldberg of Superbad and Pineapple Express fame.

Storyline: A psychotic teen with violent tenancies takes on four hardcore gangsters with his sisters help after his father is attacked for possibly stealing cash from there employer.
My Take: Plays like Home Alone, only the gangsters are not bumbling idiots and the kid is completely off his rocker. I was very impressed I loved the idea and found the acting and writing to be pleasantly decent.
Why you may like/dislike it: Violence and no name actors.
Of note: Steven C. Miller Also Directed one of my favourite zombie films Automation transfusion.
