Storyline: A family of whales gets stuck behind a wall of ice while migrating through Alaska. Big Miracle is based on the true story of a mishmash of people who try to put together and pull off a rescue.
My Take: I found it touching and entertaining. The whale footage was fantastic and for the most part the film is well made.
Why you may like/dislike it: It's made for families, so some will find the touchy feely story line a little cheesy.

Storyline: Finding themselves in New York with an expensive condo and no jobs, a couple try a few alternatives to the city lifestyle.
My Take: I loved it and laughed throughout the film. The theatre was full of laughter as well.
Why you may like/dislike it: Some will find the intentional community they go to far-fetched, others very cool.
Of note: This is one of a very few rare cases were Jenifer Aniston is really good.
