Father's Day is coming up and your Dad, Grandpa, and/or husband would be immensely pleased if you provided him with a great memory instead of some useless expensive trinket he either does not want or does not need. Make this year the year that you show Dad that you have been listening to him and know how to get value out of a buck. With that said, lets get Frugal.
Great Kelowna spot to take Dad for Father's Day
A newer Chinese restaurant located on Harvey. Great food, great atmosphere, round tables that seat at least 10 people. The dinner for 4 is amazing, and it is only $55.00. It will feed around 8 average eaters, if you have only 4 at dinner, you will have lots of take home.
Make sure you let Dad know that water is the healthy choice and you will get out there with a tab under $65. Even after leaving a generous tip. I would call and make reservations as Kelowna is starting to wake up to this great place that provides not only good Chinese food, but great value.

there is always last week's dining suggestion, Hot Dogs at Costco. If it is just you and Dad, for less that a 5 spot you can treat Dad to a great dog.
2 Tickets to the next Kelowna Falcons home game; cost is $10.00 per ticket. A great memorable experience for Dad and nice and inexpensive.

Some great spots for Dad (Kane's Harley Davidson, Kreater, the new Honda Power House) are all located in the old Marshall Feedlot area. You will have to make the journey on Saturday though.

This gift is one he will remember the most, as it lasts more than one day, but you present on the one day.
Early Morning - start of the day - make a nice homemade breakfast and a drink, and have him join you out on your deck/patio/front yard or, if you don't have that, pack it up and head down to a local beach. Cost: Free, as you will be using the resources in either your or his fridge.
Present him with the following gift: 2 tickets to the next Falcons home game. You will attend with him. Cost: $20.00
Present him with a shopping/browsing spree: In the next week, you will attend with him, the 3 motorcycle places as noted above, or maybe some car lots and/or Home Depot. Just go with him and look at stuff and act interested. Cost: Free
Present him with a nice card you wrote/made yourself: Try to be creative. Reuse materials and utilize unexpected materials, like old hockey tickets or photos. Cost: Free
Tell him he has the morning and afternoon to himself but to be ready to join you for dinner at the Dragon King where you have made reservations. Cost will be in the $65.00 range for 4 to 8 people.
All that for less than $100.
until next week…. Be Frugal, because Frugal Rocks...
