Bats for A Cause

The 4th annual wood bat mixed slowpitch tourney to raise funds for the BC Children's Hospital Foundation was held this weekend. This is a great event and fundraiser held within the community of Kelowna.

Bats for a Cause has so far raised over $35,000 for the BC Children's Hospital. The teams that participated this weekend:

BDO Baseballers

Valley First Blue Bombers

EZ Rock n Rollers

Fortis BC Power Hitters

Hansen's Heroes

Mixed Nuts

One Armed Bandits

Prospera Bears

PCU Delinquency Dodgers

Socket Puppets

All theses teams are local with the exception of Mixed Nuts, they came in from Abbottsford. Sock Puppets won FUN division with Hansen's Heroes finishing 2nd and One Armed Bandits (Lake City Casinos) third.

1. Prospera Bears = $6,419.11
2. Mixed Nuts (from Abbotsford/Chilliwack) = $4,549.78
3. Hansen's Heroes = $2,560.00
