From Shari McDowell regarding your animals
If you are evacuated, bring your animals with you to the reception center and you will be assisted by CDART. As well, if you have animals within the evacuated areas and cannot get to them, please report to CDART at the reception center and let them know - they may be able to get your animals for you when it is safe to do so. (Canadian Disaster Animal Response Team) Don't wait... check in right away. If you can, bring a leash/cage/food/litter box with you. Try to put id on your animals in case they escape. If you have to leave an animal (i.e. a cat) behind - leave a sign on your door describing the missing animal and your CELL #.
