The Kelowna Chiefs have acquired a forward and lost a defenceman in a multi-team trade.The Chiefs have sent veteran defenceman Tre Mason to the North Okanagan Knights. The 18-year old played 10 games with the Chiefs this season and tallied 3 assists. Last season, Mason had 1 goal and 6 assists in his rookie KIJHL season.
The Kelowna Chiefs also acquired Nicholas (Nick) Josephs from the Okotoks Oilers of the AJHL. Josephs, a 17 year old forward from Calgary, has 1 goal in five games this season for the Oilers.
In other Kelowna Chiefs players news, rookie forward Quade Hamlin has had to return to Texas after injuring his shoulder and requiring surgery.
