It's been a long road for Brent Tyler. Committing to playing music for a living when sometimes it may not feel like a wise and livable career choice. This makes the release of Tyler's second full length album, In Rhythm, all the more satisfying. Produced in Calgary at Arch Audio by local fixture Lorrie Matheson, it's clear that Tyler found a haven to explore the possibilities in the acoustic seeds he brought to the studio. The result is true to the album's title. Steeped in percussion and running deep with rich and diverse instrumentation, yet the most complimenting factor being l voice leading the way, sharing these stories. The fruit of all this labour is a musical collection Canadian ears should be anticipating to hear and experience.
