There are bound to be sparks upon meeting this intriguing gentleman, literally, as Tait McGuire is a member of Kelowna's Kinshira Fire Troupe. The troupe is a collective of very unique people that come together to perform. Many different instruments are used, such as fire fans, staves, poi and hoola hoops and the choreography is driven by the music. You can see Tait and the rest of the troupe performing in the Arts and Cultural district this weekend during the Life and Arts Festival.
Though he plays with fire his favorite things about Kelowna are the ski hills, all of the surrounding mountains and hiking trails. Some things he'd like to see for Kelowna are less cars and more bikes! He'd like more vendors in City Park and more public art in general. Tait makes a difference to his city through regular donations to the SPCA.
During his free time Tait enjoys taking in whatever entertainment The Habitat is offering or reading his favorite “The Secret of Shambala” by James Redfield. For some relaxation time he enjoys indulging in one of his favorite movies, either “Pulp Fiction”, “Donnie Darko” or “The Shawshank Redemption”. If he's serious about some relaxation its the Waterfront Park and Tugboat Bay.
Have a spectacular day Tait!
