TaylorMade Golf Tip of the week – By Jason Laczkovics - The Okanagan has had a lot of rain lately, hopefully it is done with now but it brings up the issue of what to do when faced with casual water. You do not get relief simply because your ball comes to rest on ground that is very wet or spongy. An accumulation of water must be visible above ground. To take relief the player must lift the ball and drop it without penalty within one club-length of and not nearer the hole than the nearest point of relief. Jason is the Golf Operations Manager of The Okanagan Golf Club and Greg Murtland is the territory manager for TaylorMade. P.S. to John Chow - Just so you don’t think that I’m a poor sport, congrat’s to you and Chris on winning your golf match against Ione and me. Birthdays of the week – it’s mine on August 6; Happy 40th James Moller, Lakeview Irrigation (Aug.6); Steve Francis, United Way (Aug.2); John Gilbert (Aug 2); Fran Pratico (Aug.6) and Randy Cairns (Aug.2).
