This week's column is dedicated to George Spetifore. The Spetifore family was the real estate developers of Wildwood in the Mission, who we purchased our new town home from. We had the best building experience with the Spetifore's and will always remember their willingness to make sure things were just right. We were lucky to have found them. Our condolences go out to Patricia, sons Quinton, Bryan, Vernon, Kevin and Martin, his entire family and many friends.

Kudos' to Ted Trotzuk of McGregor & Thompson Hardware on getting a hole-in-one (his second) on Hole #9 at The Kelowna Golf and Country Club. He also finished with a life-time best front nine of 32 (4 under par). He ended up shooting 70, 2 under par. His first comment to me was that Terry Wardrop will certainly have a comment about this, but he’s willing to take the heat!

Ladies, did you know that the worst place to put your handbag is on the floor and that lately there has been a lot of media coverage on the disgusting things we are carrying around on the bottom of our purses. Makes sense, mine is always on the floor. But, where do you put them in a restaurant, hair salon or bar – usually on the floor? Michelle of Jammeez Pajamas in Spall Plaza has come up with a very cool, elegant and stylish solution. They now carry elegant purse hooks that help women keep their handbags, or any other bag off the floor or a counter. They come in a velvet pouch that you keep in your purse. When you’re out, just place your beautiful hook on a counter or table and hang your purse from it. It’s the neatest thing I’ve seen in a long time and a great little something for Mother’s Day, a birthday or just for you. If nothing else, it’s a great conversation piece! Call 448-5263
