He Says, She Says
Two words to describe this column? Brutal honesty.
It's not always easy to pull your head out from the sand (or whatever other dark place it's in) and face the facts. That's where we come in! Sometimes you need an outsider to help you face reality.

So, my boyfriend and I just broke up, and I need to do some major soul searching. People have been telling me to go to counselors; I just keep thinking "why would I do that? they don't know me". I do honestly believe though, that with time and patience, my boyfriend and I will get back together (and he has even stated this himself). So I guess my question is, any advice on how I can get my act together and stop being so insecure and jealous, while still living with my ex?...

Hello, I've been dating this guy for about 4 months now, we both have admitted to each other that this is the best relationship either of us has had, I know this is still a new relationship but There's just something there. He has now been transfered to Vancouver for a job he has always wanted, we have talked extensively about what is going to happen with us. We both don't want to break up, but then it comes down to long distance, and nobody likes that, he then asked maybe once he settled into his new condo over then next few months then maybe I could come live with him. We both have never lived with g/f or b/fs before, so this would be new or us. I'm terrified. I've never lived away or out of my parents house. How do i get over this paranoia, and take a leap of faith and just move down there? What am I really scared of?...

I cheated on my boyfriend and have come clean. We have recently decided to work things out. We still live together but it is still very hard. I don't care if his friends hate me. I'm in a relationship with him, not then. But he constantly yells at me and will "talk" to me for hours about what happened. If we are to work things out I know I have to tell him why I was so unhappy, but how can I do this without making him think I am blaming him?...

I think my Mom might be "fooling around" with my boyfriend. They're very flirtatious whenever they're around each other, and my mom is not usually like that with other guys. How do I confront them without making it seem like an attack or hurtful accusation? I don't want them to question my trust for either of them, but I don't want to be a pushover about this. Help!?...

How does one find a significant other?? Short of work, school and the bars (hell no!) there doesn't seem to be any other place in which to converse with the opposite sex. I'm not going to go up to a random person and ask them out so how do I meet someone and start a relationship? Where do I go to do that? Especially when you're as shy as me!...

I dated my ex-boyfriend for nearly three years before we decided to call it quits. I am just lying to myself when I say I don't love him anymore. It has been over a year since we broke up and recently we have 'seen' each other a few times. Obviously I still have feelings for him, and I'm sure he still cares about me. What do you think I should do? Should I move on, head held high? Or should I try to win back my previous love?...

I have essentially no problem meeting girls, and often find myself talking with new ones. But none of these girls I am meeting are interesting, they all just bore the crap out of me. On the odd occasion that I find one that is interesting there is some absurd baggage associated with them (IE: Dead ex-fiance, Child, Parents only allow her to date east-Indian men, left the country to volunteer, SUPER religious, Didn't grad from high school etc.) which results in things not going very far. Am I just being picky or am I having some bad luck?...

Hey everyone, ‘He Says’ here. We are still a little busy putting the finishing touches on the new WelcometoKelowna. Unfortunately there isn’t a new He Says, She Says this week. I thought I would dig one up from the archives and post it so you could have a little chuckle before you leave work for the weekend! Enjoy, and have a great weekend!...

Dear He Says She Says,
What’s the best way to have a long distance relationship? How long do you wait for that potentially perfect soul mate? I met a guy that is so perfect in every single way, if I wrote out a list for what I look for (and I did.. a very long one in fact) he matched it exactly. The only thing......

seem to be having a purely textual relationship! I've been seeing a guy for about 7 weeks and we've already had sex. We text each other every day many times and we both take turns initiating it. If I decide I'm not going to text him, he always texts me by the end of the day. We have fun and witty text conversations and really tell each other what is going on in our days. However, we NEVER call each other and I have asked him to call me and he always says he will if he can. I think the last time we talked
on the phone was 4 weeks ago. I see him every 7 to 10 days and he is really, really busy trying to start his own business and has left town twice. My questions are...Is this okay? Should I expect more? Does daily texting constitute a relationship? Would a man text every day for 7 weeks if he didn't like a woman? This has never happened to me in my dating life so I'm a little puzzled....
