More innovation from Clubhouse. With the growth of Asian foods, and in particular, Indian and Thai, McCormick Canada has introduced four new flavours into the ethnic dry sauce category; two that originate from India and two from Thailand and they are great. The new items have no trans fat; no artificial colours or flavours and the peppers on the package tell you how “hot” the seasoning mix is. Try one of the four flavours including Thailand Tandoori Chicken (India); Butter Chicken (India); Thai Coconut Chicken (Thailand); and Pad Thai (Thailand). They can be purchased at your local MarketPlace IGA. Dale McEwen is the regional sales representative for McCormick Canada.

Happy 40th Anniversary Anne and Arnie Schneider (Schneider Sample) on January 11.
Had the most delightful experience at "seven six four restaurant" on Lakeshore Road (former Laughing Moon location). Chef, sommelier and general manager Mark Filatow, Chef Jeff Irwin and sous chef James Lamey (Mayor Sharon and Mike Shepherd’s son-in-law) and the staff excelled our expectations. Favorites were the lobster bisque with a lobster and ricotta ravioli, crispy goat cheese fritter with organic greens and apple vinaigrette, Salt Spring Island mussels with a coconut green curry broth and a beef tenderloin duo featuring a grilled filet mignon and beef bourguignon with house made pappardelle. The portions were generous and all ingredients are local or house made. The service was excellent and they are also open Saturday and Sunday for breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to noonish and offer a kids menu. Dawn Sleiman is the catering and events consultant of their catering company "details catering" which can service 2-500 people inside or outside at any venue or location.
