Police trying to find owner of urn found in Okanagan park

A missing urn, potentially with very important contents inside, is currently in the hands of Okanagan Mounties.

The Vernon RCMP is going public with a picture of the urn in hopes of reuniting it with its rightful owner.

According to police, the small urn was found in Vernon’s Linear Park, along 25th Avenue, in April.

It was discovered by a member of the public and turned into the Vernon RCMP detachment.

Since then, no one has come forward to claim the urn, hence today’s public service announcement from police.

The RCMP is urging whoever owns the urn, and can prove ownership to them, to call the detachment at 250-545-7171.
